First Black Friday 2011 Deals expected in 1 Month

According to our Black Friday Countdown Clock (see above), the actual Black Friday 2011 is 57 days away from today, but the Black Friday 2011 season will already launch in only one month. We expect the first Black Friday 2011 deals to be offered by retailers on Friday October 28. This will give retailers four weekends of Black Friday sales events before the actual Black Friday on November 25.

We expect retailers like Sears, Kmart and NewEgg to be among the first to offer Black Friday deals. Remember for instance that NewEgg called out Black November last year offering Black Friday deals every day until Black Friday.

Over the last couple of months we have provided you with Black Friday deals predictions. We expect Black Friday 2011 to be again better than Black Friday 2010. The economy is still bad and retailers need to make attractive offers to lure customers into buying. In recent weeks it became clear that Tablet Black Friday deals will be off the hook. Current Android tablets are not selling well and a new wave of Android tablets is expect to arrive soon. There will be plenty of bargains from retailers clearing out their tablet stock.

Black Friday 2011 Highlights already set by CES 2011 Announcements

The CES 2011 earlier this year is already a hotbed for the products that will be big during Black Friday 2011.
Get ready for tons of Tablet Black Friday deals. It will be crazy and nothing compared to last Black Friday. The scenario I predict will be that major manufacturers including Motorola, Samsung, LG and Toshiba will try anything to make you buy their Honeycomb tablets despite everybody wanting an iPad 2.
On top of that second tier tablet makers will try to sell their run of the mill tablets at ultra-low prices and some will try to get a foothold marketed as eBook readers.
Last Black Friday there have not been any real Apple iPad deals. This is likely to change for Black Friday 2011 as the iPad will be available in its 2nd generation and in ample supply. I expect similar savings we saw on the iPods last season. You will see discounts in the 20% range and $50 or more gift card bundles. This situation will make it even harder for Android Tablets to compete with the iPad.

Black Friday 2011 Deal Predictions by DealNews

Yesterday we featured the Black Friday 2011 Deal predictions by GottaDeal. Today we take a look at the predictions by another shopping site called DealNews. The DealNews Black Friday 2011 predictions are pretty detailed as you can see in the table below. They list prices for six of the major TV screen sizes for instance. The highlight in the TV segment is a 32-inch 1080p HDTV for $199. I am not sure though if that is happening. Last year a 32-inch 720p HDTV sold for below $200, but full HD is not very common in the 32-inch screen size. The sweetspot for 1080p is 40 and 42-inch. I think we will see the best Black Friday TV deals in that TV segment.

Tablets will be a hot items during Black Friday 2011. Dealnews sees the price of the Motorola Xoom drop to $319. I actually see HoneyComb Android Tablets drop below $300 during Black Friday 2011.

First Black Friday 2011 Ads are expected to appear in Late October

The Black Friday 2011 sales will start most likely already in the 2nd half of October. The first pre-Black Friday sales will be online and only a few retailers will be doing them in October. Come early November a lot of retailers will start early Black Friday deals that have been proven last year to beat actual Black Friday offers. Still, one of the most important events shoppers look for is the publishing of the actual Black Friday and Thanksgiving Day Sales ad.
Last year the first Black Friday circular leaked on October 19. it was the Harbor Freight Black Friday Ad. We expect pretty much the same time frame for the first Black Friday 2011 Ad to stick its head out.

Walmart is expected to release their Day after Thanksgiving Sales circular only a couple days before the Black Friday. They are always pretty late, but the Walmart Black Friday ad has been traditionally the most anticipated of all Black Friday ads.

Black Friday 2011 Deals will be here sooner than you think. Get your research done now to score the best deals on TVs, Laptops, Tablets, Video Games, Phones, GPS, Blu-ray players and other gadgets as soon as they become available. Read up on the latest Black Friday 2011 News.

GottaDeal Black Friday 2011 Predictions released

We are down to 65 days until Black Friday 2011 (When is Black Friday?) according to our Black Friday Countdown Clock. Shopping site GottaDeal has published their comprehensive Black Friday 2011 Predictions report. Let's have a look what they see the big sales trends for Black Friday 2011 and how our deal predictions fit to that.

Overall GottaDeal sees the Black Friday 2011 deals to match that of last year. They also say that Black Friday deals had been the best 4 to 5 years ago and that retailers have failed to wow hard core Black Friday shoppers last year and are predicted to do so again this year. What is also important to note is that inventories at retailers are seen lower this year as the economy makes predicting demand very hard. This means you need to be shopping early and line-up as early as possibly to grab the best deals during Black Friday 2011.

Black Friday 2011 Sony PSP Deal Prediction

Sony will not launch the new PS Vita this Holiday season in the United States. All focus will be on the Sony PSP and the Sony PS3. We already looked at possible Sony PS3 Black Friday 2011 deals. Now lets take a look what Sony PSP Black Friday deals we can expect.
Last Black Friday, Sony launched a special Sony PSP Black Friday Pack that sold for as low as $127. The PS Black Friday Pack included a PSP-3000 console, Little Big Planet Game, Karate Kid UMD and 1GB Memory stick.
The Sony PSP-3000 Core Pack alone is selling for that price now on Amazon.
If I would be Sony I would go all out and offer the Sony PSP-3000 Core for $99 on Black Friday 2011. This would be a very sexy deal that retailers would feature as one of their top Black Friday offers in their Black Friday ads.
Most likely though, Sony will go again the bundle route. To make that interesting, Sony should bundle two games instead of a movie. UMD movies are just not really interesting. Sony is under a lot of pressure in their mobile gaming like Nintendo. Smartphones with their cheap games are taking over the market. Still, a $99 Sony PSP could be great Holiday gift for 2011 for kids.

All summer long Black Friday Countdown will bring you educated predictions about Black Friday deals you can expect to find in the Black Friday 2011 sales season. When is Black Friday 2011? The answer is in this report uncovering the real start date of Black Friday 2011.

Sony Tablet S Black Friday 2011 Deal Prediction

The Sony Tablet S Android Tablet is now available for pre-order starting at $499.99 on Amazon. It will start to ship on September 16. The new Sony Tablet is possibly the most stylish Android tablet on the market, but will this be enough to sell like hot cakes. I do not think so. Sony added some nifty features like a iR Universal remote and PlayStation games.

The problem is that we expect actually a new generation of Android Tablets running on the new Quad-Core NVIDIA Tegra "Kal-El" CPU. These new much more powerful Android Tablets will make all Tegra 2 Android Tablet look obsolete. This means prices have to drop dramatically.

This is the great news though if you are in the market for a decent Android Tablet and do not need the latest and greatest, then Black Friday 2011 will be the perfect time for you to shop for an Android Tablet such as the Sony Tablet S.
I expect that you will be able to find the Sony Tablet S with 16GB priced at $299.99 during the Black Friday 2011 sales season.

iPod nano 7G Black Friday 2011 Deal Predictions

The iPod nano 6G that Apple released last year is one hot little gadget. The tiny square music player features a cool touchscreen user interface and was one of the hot Christmas gifts of 2010 and of course there have been plenty of iPod nano Black Friday deals.
Apple is expected to release a new iPod nano this month with the iPod nano 7G. The biggest new feature is likely a camera.
The best Black Friday iPod nano deal in 2010 was $145 including a $15 Gift Card from Target. Apple usually keeps the prices steady when they unveil a new generation. I expect only slightly better iPod nano Black Friday deals this year. My prediction is that retailers will hand out $20 gift cards. If we are lucky we see retailers dropping the prices of the 8GB iPod nano 7G to $130 (list: $149.99).

Amazon sells the 8GB iPod nano 6G for  $134.95, which is actually their best Black Friday price from last year.

New Nike Air Mag Possibly the hottest Black Friday 2011 Item? [Update]

Today Nike is supposed to unveil a new sneaker dubbed Air Mag, inspired by the movie Back To the Future from the 80s. The Nike Air Mag are supposed to be self lacing shoes. This could be the most awesome new gadget on the market.
It is expected that Michael J. Fox is announcing the Nike Air Mag at the David Letterman's The Late Show on CBS.

A pair of these self lacing sneakers will come for a high list price. If Nike really is set to make the Nike Air Mag a mass market product than I see retailers trying to lure costumers with Nike Mag Black Friday deals.

Update:
Nike unveiled the 2011 Mag Air, but they only offer 1,500 pairs in a special charity auction. Besides that they do not power lace. More details.

Black Friday 2011 VUDU Deals from Walmart predicted to be Awesome

Ever since Walmart bought the video streaming service VUDU, the service improved and got more solid. Today it is a viable alternative to Netflix or Amazon streaming services. Especially since beginning of September when the new Netflix pricing took affect. The Netflix streaming service is now $7.99/month and not a $2 add-on to the DVD rental service.
VUDU is now also supported on a wide-range of TVs and other devices. I am pretty convinced that Walmart will take extra efforts to promote VUDU enabled devices during Black Friday 2011.  The VUDU related deals will go beyond the already traditional bargain Blu-ray Player. Last year Walmart sold a Magnavox Wi-Fi Blu-ray player with VUDU support for $69.
This year I expect Walmart to also offer great Black Friday deals on VUDU supporting Smart TVs from Vizio and other brands.
I also expect Walmart to bundle VUDU credits with a wide range of products.

For more details about VUDU visit the Walmart VUDU page. For more predictions about the Walmart Black Friday 2011 deals read our earlier report.

Ultrabooks will be hot Find on Black Friday 2011

This Fall Windows fans get a hot new laptop platform dubbed Ultrabook. Ultrabooks are light, thin and powerful and priced under $1,000. The first Ultrabooks have been announced by Asus and Toshiba. Acer will also offer them and I guess many other laptop makers.
The first announced Ultrabooks are as thin as 13mm and sport Intel Core i5/i7 CPUs, HDD+SSD storage combos and 13.3-inch screen size. Prices are not revealed yet. There was some discussion that laptop makers cannot price them under $1,000. This is the price point the entry-level Apple MacBook Air starts.
I assume though that there will be Ultrabooks priced for $999. During the Black Friday Sales season I think some retailers will try to catch your attention with some great deals on Ultrabooks. These new Ultrabooks could give the Windows Laptop segment a much needed boost.
